No One Can Catch An Awake Man

It appears to not be possible to be human and not feel that “something isn’t right.”   Even in hell there always seems to be, “a chill in the air.”  (Be thankful at least that hippos roosting in trees do not get depressed.)

You likely will doubt the veracity of it, but here is a story:
On one planet the creatures spend a large part of their lives in an activity, which they mostly treat seriously, but which mostly accomplishes nothing.  (A fact, to which, they seem mostly oblivious.)  Guess what they call this activity?

In the two mythological consciousness’ of Adam, and of the Snake, Adam’s is glue smeared, while the Snake is just as slick as his name implies.  No one can catch an awake man, not even himself.

You need eyes which want to see the un-seeable,
and hands which never lose grip of reality,
and a hunger that can eventually connect the two.

You can throw away all the insecticides.  All you need do is listen in when your thoughts talk about you and poof, extermination is complete!   You are nowhere to be found.
