Your Momentary Hesitation

One man’s Question of the Day:
“Exactly what led you to conclude that I do not know what I am doing – other than knowing me?”  (Directed to himself, it might be noted.)

In the affairs singular to man, the reasons people offer for why any particular thing happened, are confessions of nescience.  Everyone looks for reasons; no one sees any, and only the few realize it and understand it.  The unsure frantically search for reasons to explain everything, when human-produced reasons never explain anything.  What ordinary men offer as the “reason” for a particular thing happening, is just a stalling tactic to put off having to face the fact that they do not know the reason.

One man believed he was asleep for so long that he finally became so.  (Not to be confused with the man who pretended to be awake for so long that it ceased to make any difference.  Nobody wants to hear about that sonofabitch.)

When a man accidentally stumbled into the lair of, The Wake-Up People’s Secret Conspiracy, he said:  “I guess you will not let me leave since I now know too much.”  But they replied, “Oh no, you are free to go; there is nothing that you can reveal about our activity…well, nothing that anyone will believe.”

Only those still in a dream have dreams of what “being awake” will be like.
