Autobiographies are of Losers

Forget about vampires, zombies and  E.T.’s.  If you do not find the most amazing thing in life the fact that you are now thinking about vampires, zombies and E.T.’s from your seeing these words on your computer screen, there is little chance you have the ability to ever distinguish the truly extraordinary from the mundane (which is the mother and daughter of all that is extraordinary).

What is more astounding than there being something in your head, thoroughly engaged in activity that seems totally apart from your purely physiological existence…or better yet; what is more confounding than the fact that humans feel a need for the word, seems.

All autobiographies are of losers.  In spite of the always central theme of the author detailing the troubles of his life and his eventual triumph there over, they are still always the story of a loser, for no one but a loser would admit that anything in his life was ever a problem.

Real heroes come not in relative degrees, nor in self-identification.
