It would do you no good to hear the real subject of all this put into plain words. It could be presented in a short sentence that would be a reasonable reflection of its reality, but discovering for yourself is the only way that it will ever mean anything to you. Hearing it now in direct language would only distract and confuse you. You would certainly understand literally what the sentence said, but it would not awaken you – you have to do that.
Remember, a quite significant something goes on continually in the consciousness of your brain; a certain relationship – the realization of which will settle every matter that inherently disturbs the few. It’s right in there just behind all of the smoke, metaphors and mirrors, (whose existence you may blame on these writings), but look to the thoughts passing through your head, and passing such judgments, and you will do yourself much more good.
There is a kingdom ruled by two princes. From outside observation, they both appear to have power, but only one has Actual power to get things done. The other has a non-actual power which, when exercised, creates in on-lookers the illusion of actual power in action. This illusion is in fact so marvelous that the prince employing it is also fooled by it. Do not let a simple fable like this cause you to stumble and fall in a ditch. Both princes have power, but their powers are not of the same breed. One is actual and one is non-actual, and the dark energy between them that makes their individual existence visible, is the relationship that answers and settles everything.
In one universe, Euclid, Newton, Einstein and Edison are considered bums, while Bach, Shakespeare and Rembrandt are here called, “Beacons of Culture.” In yet another universe, culture is thought of as a place for the unemployed.
