The News

97007 – 1
One father poked his son and said:
“What do you call a place that has no beginning, has no end,
And is entirely without any limits?” And the boy chewed on it for a moment,
And replied: “The universe.”
“Naw!” replied his old man, “Not even close! — it’s the mind.”
And the kid mentally gnawed again for a sec, then retorted:
“What d’ya mean, ‘not even close’?! — they’re damn near the same thing.”
“Oops!’ said the elder, “Guess you got me on that one.”
..,.(“Oops’, hell!” muttered the lad as he walked away…..from the major lit area of the brain.. …Of which he was a neural clump.)

When young, all would-be mystics want to grow lip to be revered, world famous mystics, then as they age in their understanding they change to wanting to discover the truth about life;
And then as their perception & hunger begins to strain the very seams of reality, their desire focuses in on wanting to simply realize their own nature — but ultimately even this becomes too parochial and confining, and the hungry ones discover that what they really wanted all along was to:
Grow up to be themself.
….(which proves, [I guess], that if you hold on long enough in any area, your goals will improve.)

97007-2
One man had a hundred cats,
(well, he’d never actually counted them
So he didn’t know if there were a hundred,
But he did know that it seemed like at least a hundred,
So he didn’t feel hesitant to say that he had a hundred…Anyway),
This guy had a hundred cats, and even though he’d grown accustomed to them
Being there, he decided to get rid of some of them —
— so he tried giving away ten of them     …no luck,
So he tried offering up twenty    …no luck,
So he upped it to fifty free cats  ….still nothing,
And a neighbor finally asked him why, if he couldn’t give away ten cats,
He thought it’d help to increase it to fifty?!
To which the man had a ready reply: “Screw off!” said he,
“Screw/royally off.”
…(guess he’s been around a hundred cats too long, huh?!)

There was once a mystical order which, to help support itself fiscally, operated a sky writing business, but refused any client who wanted a message that did not include a reference to the human mind.
(their medium being the sky, and all.)

97007-3
Conversation between two men in coats
“There’s nothing as good for a cold as – chills & fever.”
“You mean there’s nothing as symptomatic of a cold as – chills & fever.” “I say — is that a Harris tweed you have on?”
Those who do not actually want their cars to look better
Never recognize how body and fender work can be done by dents and scrapes.
                Or:
To be captive of the mind is to look to the horizon and see nothing but a flat line.
“A herringbone can be awfully becoming, don’t you think?!”

97007-4
How to tell you might be a mystic:
Nothing frightens you and nothing makes you mad except one thing – …And it’s not outside of you where you can get your hands on it, and do anything about it.
(it’s tur’able how some kids will torment the children of mystics — tauntin’ ’em with such cries as:
“Pissed and scared! — pissed and scared!,
That’s all you are, is– pissed and scared!”
[least they could do is be more accurate and say:
“Pissed and – ‘put off’ or — ‘disturbed’
Or – ‘out of sorts’, maybe,
But something other than, ‘scared.’
I’m aware that I began this item by saying that:
“You might be a mystic if: nothing makes you mad or
Frightens you but one thing..”
But my use of the word “Frighten” intends to convey something
Far other than what an ordinary man would think of as
The same as being scared,
…Let me try it this way:
The ordinary dread the idea of a coffin lid closing on them,
While the fashion sense of the more conscious is offended by
The thought of ending up in a coffin like everyone else.

97007-5
One man was born with an open wound
Which for many years he tried to heal, but with no success.
Then he discovered a method, requiring a certain constant attention, whereby the bleeding would stop,
And although he seemed unable to give it the continuing attention needed,
Just knowing about it slowed the flow.
The body’s a curious place, huh?!

97007-6
One man struggled so long for his enlightenment
That life finally took notice of him and offered him a choice of his awakening, or to become a world renown author on the subject.
Well….The man pondered on this, (as best he could), and after a bit
Told life that since he didn’t have the experience to personally know what
The great liberation truly offered, it was difficult for him to make such
A choice —
So life said, “Okay — I’m gonna give you twenty four hours of being awake
So that you can taste what it’s like then compare to fame as an authority
Thereon, and make your decision.”
(“Fair enough,” thought the man), and life put him in the state,
( The state in him) — for you viewers on the west coast),
And at the end of the designated period, life brought him back to his
Normal state of mind, then asked: “Okay — which will it be?”
And again the man began ruminatin’ instead of answerin’, and life pushed:
“Well?! — which will it be?” and finally the man spoke, but with another
question: “Say, let me get this straight: if I choose the enlightenment over the
Literary fame therein, will I stay forever —
— as enlightened
As I was
During that twenty four hours — or will I be able to sometimes kinda,
‘slip out of it’ just enough that I could indulge, (just a little bit) , in
Presenting myself as an authority on the subject?!” and life forthwith reached
down, grabbed a mystic and hit the man smartly, upside the head, causing his….

97007- 6B
One man lost all respect for his mind
once he realized how subject it was to such minor things as anchovies and over-sleeping,
Any good tyrant would rather be feared than respected,
But when it comes to your mind — either one will work —
Either one will keep you dancing with it long enough for the undertaker to arrive.
….(either him, or someone from the stupid examiner’s office
to close your file,)

97007-7
The vat:
The problem, (as an alert man sees it), is in first — falling in the vat, and then in becoming part of the vat.

97007-8
Never mind all the lesser ones —
The supreme approaches are:
The struggle to be conscious of yourself and to not be;
To remember yourself and to forget yourself,
And to be mindful and mindless —
– -all else is just warm-up-time   preludes to nothing!
“Listen — they’re playing my song.”
“How can you be sure?”
“Cause they’re all my song.”
“How can that be?”
“Cause they’re all played in my head.”
The digital age was made possible by the efforts of the enlightened
Who long ago realized that everything can be represented by a 1 and a 0. ….(who knows what’ll occur if the rest of humanity ever catches up to their further realization that 1 and 0 are the same thing.)_

97007-9
There was once a world on which the creatures had two tongues;
One in their mouths, (like us),
But another, directly connected to the mind.
….Wait a minute….Are you sure we’re talking, “Other worlds” here?!?!
Back to architecture:
Civilization, (that is, humanity-as-a-mental-whole-on-the-physical-move), civilization got the idea for awnings from certain early-on observations certain, now-forgotten men made inside their own skulls.
“Oh my, but I do so love a stripped pattern.”
“Uh, put me down for a solid any day!”
“Okay, you nellies, make up your minds,
My crew ain’t got all day,
We got a job waiting at an office building with two thousand windows.
…Plus, it’s obviously you don’t yet realize that it’s all the same: stripes, solids, checks, it doesn’t matter – they’re all the same.” ….(you know, it’s not that often that you see a man in the
Building trades who displays such an understanding of the mind — least not right out in the open.)

97007-10
Update update:
People who believe that they’re, “Getting somewhere” — aren’t, …Oh, I’m sorry, the full heading of this item should have been: advanced – update update.
The simple conjured up the idea that: “The gods will place no burden on a man that he cannot bear,” after they realized just how simple they were, and to what degree the gods would take advantage of their condition.
You see: people who believe that they’re -getting somewhere” in the mental, transcendental sense
are still making the mistake of thinking that there is some where to get to other than where ever you are at the present moment.
….”Oh, god!” moaned a simple mind, I mean, man, “I wish you hadn’t said that”

In one planet’s patent office, they closed down the files after reaching the letter, “M”.
…(“Jeeze!, you realize that means they never had television….Or knickers…” “Hey, knickers is spelled with a ‘k’!”
“…Or platform shoes…,or unicycles.”, “It’s spelled with a ‘k’, dammit!’

97007-10B
One man asked another man a question to which he replied: “I don’t know.” And after the first man revealed the answer, the other man said: “Right after, ‘I don’t know.’ that was going to be my next guess. …And after a moment the first man chuckled at this retort and said “That’s pretty clever.” To which the other man replied:
“A little something I picked up from my mind.”

97007-11
The way you spot a wealthy mystic is that he has but one possession ,…And even that one you can’t see.

“Monogamy, my boy! — monogamy’s the key,” said the mystic to his son.
A man who knows how to actually — “Live alone” doesn’t care -he has nothing to lose and no one to be faithful to.
What a rich, full and satisfying life — to some.

One man spent his whole life attempting to peel away his perception of
A subject from an object               …a life, (says he), he finds well spent.
“Monogamy, my boy — monogamy’s the key.”
* * *

97007 -12
One man told his mind:
“Okay, look, I’ve come to this conclusion:
You can go ahead and think anything you want as long as —
You don’t take it seriously.” To which his mind responded:
“‘me take it seriously!’ — man! you haven’t even got a clue!”

97007-13
The highway:
One man decided on a particular driving tactic–
Pay no attention to the car ahead, and none to the one behind.
The airway:
One man’s favorite song from the top ten is
Whichever one’s being played right now, (although he tries not to listen).
* * *

97007-14
One man encouraged his children never to get their minds dirty,
And one boy asked: “You mean not to think about nasty things?!”
“No,” replied the father, and a daughter said:
“You mean not to think about despicable acts?!”
“No,” he replied again, and another son then said:
“Then you must mean not to think ill thoughts about other people?!”
“No, no.” the elder replied, “You don’t get it —
The only way to keep from getting your mend dirty is to
Not think about anything!”
“Jeeze!” the whole brood muttered en mass,
“Why don’t you give us something really challenging to do?!”
“Ahh – them’s my kids!” grinned the father broadly,
As he continued to scoop them from his open skull.

97007-15
There was once a man who hated watches,
the sensation of being rushed,
and the feeling that he was always running late,
— and finally discovered a solution: he threw away his mind,

Pop quiz: why so few mystics in Australia? —
Yep! — the presence of boomerangs.
…”Okay, Larry – you swim toward Tasmania, and Curly, you head for New Zealand”

How to tell that you might be a mystic:
You’re constantly wet from head to foot…and you never go in.

97007-16
Myths:
Myths are for children — reality for grown up children —
And what’s left for the enlightened, you ask
— as well you may — as well you may!      Day!, mayday, mayday!
….(just a joke!)

On a planet much older than this one, there is a legend that says one man
did once meet god in person, and had but this comment on the occasion:
“You don’t frighten, or impress me… you’re too late,
I’ve already accomplished that for myself.”
And just for an instant, the big guy almost got angry,
But immediately had to recognize and appreciate his own handiwork.
…So he just smiled…As he continued to scoop men from his brain.
* * *

97007-17
Sometimes, just for fun, this one guy would go on all day long to life,
saying: “Gimmie a little kiss…      come on – gimmie a little kiss.”
Until life would finally kick him in the privates.
….(some people got a funny idea of fun, huh?!)
…One thing for sure: to live life at this intensity,
You gotta really know how to — live life!
….Or…Maybe…I’ve got that back’ards —
Maybe’s it’s you’ve got to really not know
….Ah, never mind —        I lost it.
(that’s what a kick to that area can do to you.)

97007-18
The two eyed view is that: sometimes it’s empty, and sometimes it’s full ,..(just imagine what the three eyed view is.)

97007-19
One man heard a voice in his head saying:
“Look into my eyes! — look into my eyes!”
And he shook himself, declaring:
“I ain’t marryin’ no hypnotist! — least not again I ain’t.”
Which could have caused the source of the voice much laughter —
….(‘cept for the fact of how it was…Well —
so all tied in to the man himself.)

A man wrote to a mystic and asked:
“Say — just what isn’t – ‘all tied up to man himself’?” and the conscious one found this to be the most impressive letter he’d received since being notified that he was already a, “Pre-selected winner!”

The postal system on some worlds will not deliver mail to the awakened, claiming that it is not cost efficient to move communiques the few nanometers involved between one synapse and another,
The enlightened make great neighbors  to themself.
….(come on baby — look-k-k into my eyes — just once!”)

97007-20
Being part of a mystical operation is at best, a metaphor for being part of a mystical operation.
…”Come on baby — look just once!”
