Summary

#1326 – 08/24:
Notes by TK

Everything beyond survival-related speech is a form of condemnation of civil conditions—all based on the necessity of the past to condemn the present (and vice versa). Everything in Life is arranged to preclude individual change since man must think about local conditions. New thought is not condemnation.

The News

At 2:07 PM, one man stopped and wondered: “Is
transcendental info really all that far away!? — Is the edge of
a coin so distant from the two sides!? — Do not blue and yellow
run together before becoming green!?” And while his thoughts
were properly aimed, do keep in mind that there ultimately
remains an experiential distinction between the traveling of the
arrow, and the forevering arrival of the target. The silent
difference between awareness and attention — between temporal,
spatial effort, and infinite, effortless effort.

Once they could speak, they were civilized, and Adam said to
Eve: “What d’ya wanna do now?” And she said: “We could put on
some clothes.” He considered it, then said: “Naw — we can do
better than that.” So she thought, then said: “How’s about we
start pretending what we now see life totally different than
before?” And he liked it — they both liked it — …and so did
life (hiding behind a tree) who’d made them like it.

Life: The Definition:
Life: The only known entity that can “fool itself” and not
care. …I’m sorry — correction: Life: The only known entity
that can fool itself and not notice. …Hold it — should go
like this: Life: The only known entity that can fool itself and
make you believe that you’re responsible.

…..And now: The Query:
Why are there: Two sexes, two kinds of information and two
parts to man’s brain? Answer: So things’ll look more complicated
than they actually are. And the snake looked at man and said:
“I knew that — what’s wrong with you!?”

***

A father gave his son this news: “One of the main things
that keep the stupid stupid is them taking it so seriously — but
hey!”, he added, “don’t take it so seriously.”

***

The way life has kept too many people from becoming mystics
is by making them take it too seriously. ** And –ah yes!:
Legend has it that on this one world no one is permitted to try
and become more conscious for longer than 20 years. …(And, oh
yeah: I’m not gonna tell you what it says after that.)

***

The simple (no matter how sophisticated) believe worry comes
from the mind, a man who knows a bit more, suspects this is not
the full picture, and a man who actually knows what’s going
on…well!…well…let me tell you!…

One day in a fit of allegorical angst, one city announced to
the fleets of ambitious trucks approaching its borders: “No
conveyor of intelligence enters here who is not either:
Peterbilt, or, peter-headed.” And all but a trickle of traffic
was stopped.

More Definitions By Way Of: Highway Lore:
Routine Consciousness: Potholes.
Routine Education: The filling in of potholes with other
potholes.

…..On a clear day, the clear headed can see what’s going on —
and on days when it’s not — they can anyway.

***

From Our: New Intelligence Dictionary:
Maturity: Life’s little warning that you’re about to die.

…..A viewer writes: “Taking the subconscious suggestion
you’ve been sending out to me over the air waves, I can now
juggle & keep sixty-three balls in the air simultaneously, but I
find this takes about all of the mental attention I have, and
many of my past, everyday-problems are not getting seen to, and
my two questions are: How come it doesn’t seem to matter about
my problems? And how can I now get more balls in the air?”

***

One day when he couldn’t find a public restroom with a
dictionary, this one guy made up his own necessary definition:
“Civilization,” mused he, “is the pretending that one thing is
something else.” (Then he flushed.)

***

Class is now in session, and: Time For Definitions:
Logic: Condoms for the mind. …Yeah! — okay, let’s get
serious: Logic: Too tight condoms…

…..And now for some real: Educational News
The less meaningful the subject, the more difficult it is to
master.

…..Now for some additional material to help us improve
our Social Skills:
Life makes up to the dumb for having made them dumb by
making them want to be — popular!

***

The Never Spoken, Leadership Law Of All Earthly Creatures
Let the meanest wolf run the pack, just don’t look for any
intelligence or talent from him. Moral: Why be disappointed and
cynical when you can be made awares!?

***

One day a father said to his son: “You want me to tell you
just how knowledgeable man is about life!? — If the stomach
could think and speak, men’s minds would believe it was god.” **
One day daylight and darkness were playing hide-&-seek, but
daylight wouldn’t come looking for him. …(A true mystic’s game
if I ever heard one.)

***

Life made everyone different so that everyone would look at
everyone else and say: “You’re different.”

***

The Demographics Of It All
The crude & simple are only interested in news of the crude
& simple — which helps explain the paucity of public mystical
data. …And just past the Forum, the city choir began to sing:
“Blood and guts,
Blood and guts,
That’s all it takes to
Satisfy us.”

***

One man’s mother stood in the doorway and so advised him:
“Success in life does not include moving back in with your
parents.” And he replied: “Boy, I wish you’da told my mind that
several years back!” When it comes to thinking: A mind and its
parents can’t be to soon apart.

***

Life reminded local conditions, who in turn reminded some
important local humans: “If you don’t act serious when you
deliver bad news, people may not believe it.” ** Laying out in
the grass, on their backs, on a sunny day, gazing at the sky, a
hippo said to his wildebeest compadre: “If such as we had
mental knowledge of our upcoming death, do you think this would
make us more reflective and philosophical?” … We interrupt
this fable to bring you some extremely disturbing news…

***

And Now Back To The Feature We Call: “Most People”:
Most people never worry about death until they’re afraid
they’re about to die. How come no similar situation with
stupidity & routine awareness!? And: Most people will “do
something” if they have something to do. …This does not
however, seem to include trying to be more conscious.
***

The Parade, Progress, History And Other Civilized Events
The old want to trash the young, but the young want to do
it to the old, worse! “So!”, thought the starving, stranded
soccer team, “that’s how it works!”

***

Carrousels, Collusion, Limited Perception And Other
Midway Treats
How come squirrels’ll eat bird food, but birds won’t eat
squirrel food? — Cause you’re blind! — That’s why.

…..The View From Street Level
Once things started to “go down hill” — they really went —
down hill. The coach told all the backs: “Once you grab a cliche
— run with it.”

***

The routinely simple love to hear the thoughts of others,
and the pretentiously simple love to present the thoughts of
others to the routinely simple — thus everyone is happy, and
everyone has something non-dangerous to do. ** And do not
bother to ask if this has any application to people wanting to
be priests, rabbis, reporters, teachers, cops, bureaucrats, and
other small-time, show business personalities. ** Men withdrew
the vitality from their religions once they began to dilute their
initial conception of their god’s singularity & source of power
— his originality.

***

Just as out-in-life there are those who build, and those who
destroy — likewise mentally.

How Progress In An Apparently Closed System Works
The tail of a snake smells worse than its head.

***

Being alive and having a mind makes many people disturbed
and dissatisfied; time was when they turned to religion and myth,
then to art and philosophy, now much attention is given to
politics and psychology, and through it all has run the stream of
drugs, and other attempts to physically cause an alteration of
one’s consciousness. This is the sort of item that sounds as
though it has reached the place of now being ready to present its
moral and conclusion, but there is none, no more so than in the
understanding of those who have lived the totality of the lives
above described. The more-conscious have not only re-lived
collective history, but have then made their individual own. **
A kid asked the old man: “Tell me — how comes it, man’s want
for gods?” And his father replied: “As long as you believe
there is something outside of life, life is safely hid, and
secure.”

***

Collective reason, disguised as a desperado, caught out in
the open by some independent thoughts hiding behind some rocks,
yelled out to them: “Stand up like a man, so I can see you!”
And when one of them did, he quickly pulled his pistol and shot
it, further crying out: “Forgive me, what I meant to say was:
Stand up like an idiot, so I can see you.” Then laughing, he
made safe his getaway like so many times before, still marveling
at what appeared to be his opposition’s astounding stupidity. **
In a forest far away is a legend of a golden fox who, despite its
size and strength, one day, after suffering an unkindness by a
gigantic elephant, retaliated; the golden fox charged headlong at
the mighty pachyderm only to be immediately slain by one small
swing of his trunk. The people of the forest retrieved the broken
body of the golden fox, and buried it in a special place near
their village, and as a reminder of the relative dynamics
inherent in a closed system, as exemplified by the fox’s
impossible attack on the elephant, remember him in legend,
calling him by the name they bestowed upon him: “Stupid Fox.”
** The reason that greater consciousness is incomparable is
because it will not allow itself to be dragged down to the level
of comparisons.

***

Amidst random thinking, focused attention is a majority of
one.

***

If any real consciousness-expanding-activity ever takes on a
public side and appears to be a religion, or systematic
philosophy (or the like) no matter what it’s called, its true
name will then be: “Rub Their Faces In It.”

Don’t You Just Love It: A Story
Being a mystic is never having to say you’re satisfied.

…..The Tale Of One Man’s Mystical Journey
He tortured himself until he gave in.

…..Mystical Quiz Time
Question: Why do all pictures of Buddha show him smiling?
Answer: Cause he didn’t pose for any of ’em.

***
Men made up myths to hide the truth — life made up men to
hide from itself.

***

The kid asked the old man: “Describe mysticism to me.” To
which he replied: “It’s one of the: ‘Lookings-for-a-cure’ —
the valid one.”
