Kyroot to :10. The future of facts is too open-ended, imprecise, uncertain, short, dramatic and abrupt for facts to have a visible, perceivable future in one man’s lifetime. Acts have a very predictable future: sex, sustenance and shelter endure. The only future of facts comparable to that: facts will produce more facts. Facts cannot predict acts the way they can foreshadow other facts; remember that facts follow acts. Acts are (non-temporal) while facts come and go (temporal). Acts are the same character now as they were in prehistoric times.

If men had to wait for proof, if facts were based on proof, there would be no facts; acts are their own verification. The intellect would agree with the latter, but not the former. Facts cannot stand alone, require further facts, commentary, validation and explanation. Facts only require the appearance of proof, not actual proof or else they wouldn’t exist.

Only creatures privy to facts attempt to produce finished products. Nature makes no such attempt. Nothing is ever finished, yet no one notices it.

In this one kingdom
soldiers were issued uniform coats

When tipped over,
some facts,
if left alone
can aright themselves without assistance.
(Insider’s note: This is not actually ,so,
but as is so often the case by the time one realizes it, it’s too late anyway.)

One little king
over in one far away little kingdomette,
in his amusing attempt to be “progressive”
decreed that henceforth the churches and the prisons
would be allowed to operate only one day a week.
(I hear that some time later
he even tried to merge the two.)

One of those woozy woolly park philosophers
who hang about the speaker’s area shouted out

“Don ‘t say that men cannot explain City affairs,
say rather that they fear to do so. “

In his continuing attempt to be more equitable,
if not amusing,
this one king announced that henceforth
the taxes of the kingdom would be borne by those who
“call upon the gods”
and as soon as they heard about this
the deities called for an appointment to see His Grace.

At one level
Life is so excruciatingly – “I’m sorry, did you say – exasperatingly”?
simple that It had to make men start talking about it
so as to “complex-it-up”
and make it seem more captious and interesting.

(A tree carved rhyme on the outskirts of one City):
“He has not loved
who has not loved
the love that comes first sight.
He has not thought
who has not thought
that thought that was first right.”
…..(I believe this has something
to do with the ultimate
futility of a second chance… of course not being from
around here, I could be wrong.)

think like Wagner.”

The urge, of course,
is always to construct a theoretical model of reality wherein every single aspect properly fits and functions; this urge, of course,
arises from the fact that this is how reality is.
