Kyroot to :10. Polarized thinking is the secret author of all City sarcasm, humor and proverbs. E.g., “what ills spring from beauty”. Irony is always the result of such proverbial wisdom, i.e., the opposite effect from the stated intent. Nothing in the Secondary Level World can electrically fulfill its promise permanently. Thus nobody can prevail, neither the white hats or black. The agency of judgment must suffer the same failure and misfortune perceived by the judger in the judged; this is the unavoidable result of the electrical nature of the energy driving the thinking process.

There can be no “Miss America”, only a runner up: the crown is not retired after she is named; another is chosen next year. Thus there must always be two runners-up, where the second is never announced: the judges of the event. There is no such thing as a magnet with only one pole.

The basis of humor and sarcasm and criticism in the City is the unnoticed contrast of the Secondary Level World with the Primary Level World necessity supporting it. E.g., “the dumbest woman can outsmart the cleverest man”. Primary Level World sex is the contrast to Secondary Level World intelligence.

In his continuing, although sometimes cute,
attempt to “consider his spot in history”,
and taking into account his own kind of memory
which he just knew history must share,
this one hombre would remind himself
every morning (or whenever he could remember to do so)
“Visuals come and go,
but audio is forever.”

“Ah crap.”, said the kid,
“All the great thoughts have already been thought.”, and
the old man counseled, “Wait-how about that one you just said?”,
and the nipper spat and kicked, “Nah, I read it in a book.”,
“But”, responded the elder, “Is the author still alive?”,
“Naww, the book’s three or four hundred years old.”,
“Well”, went on the paternal participant, “Who’s gonna ever
know but you and him – go ahead and take it like you owned it.”,
and the little vehicle was so temporarily uplifted in spirits
that he grabbed the old man’s legs and exclaimed,
“Pops, I gonna start calling myself, “Prince Doo-Cuss I.”,
and the elder patted them both confidently, “I know kid,
I know.”

This one up-to-date, hip & with-it City guy. every time he’d have a real dumb thought, would,
in his best “Top-40” voice exclaim, “And the hits keep’a comint.”

One
certainly
not-off-the-rack ruler
who would sometimes indulge in the unnatural act
of pondering the vagaries,
the pluses and minuses of the exercise of power
was presented with a collection of complaints
from the people regarding the sloppiness
of those charged with the collection of garbage;
The king lit up a Tootsie Roll,
glazed pensively into the regal distance and mused,
“Do they really expect the fastidious
to seek such positions?” (puff,puff).

In a universe that nearly parallels yours,
in a profession that is comparable to your Psychiatry,
there is a certain practitioner who treats all his patients
by asking them to tell him everything – absolutely everything,
about their “problem” no matter how long that might take,
and after they seem inclined to cease the chatter, and
he asks them, and is satisfied that that is all they
have to say on the matter,
he makes a note in their file, closes it, and
says to each patient – “Ahh, forget it.”
(He is most successful in his
practice, although on their world they have no word for success and thus he does not know he is, but I thought you’d still like to know.)

Most of the City’s attitude
in certain matters could be wrapped up in this cry; “Immediate fucks – not distant romances.”

A guy who lives by himself writes to say that not infrequently he catches a glimpse of a shadowy figure suddenly darting past a doorway just at the edge of his peripheral vision; He says he’s not all that bothered by it, but just wanted to mention it to someone.

In this one City
was a minister of a certain religion
who steadfastly held his post whilst
passed the careers of many of his peers and superiors;
Some cultural critics attributed his success to the formidability
of his intellect,
others to his pervasive acts of charity,
and yet others peg his popularity to the fact
that at the conclusion of each of his sermons, discourses,
and prelections he exclaims – “Let the boogie-woogie roll!”

in some spots it’s safer to kick the people.”
