Kyroot to :06. Enthusiasm is not required in the Primary Level World, just in the Secondary Level World. Men are not fulfilling their role and responsibility if they fail to be enthusiastic. Consider the distinction between “possessions” acquired thru “shopping” (Secondary Level World) vs. “goods” acquired thru “buying” (Primary Level World). Possessions are not fulfilling their responsibility if they fail to enthuse their possessor. Successful advertising is enthusing; religious proselytizing = enthusiasm; entertainment = enthusiasm.

Note Life’s ambivalence toward alcohol and drugs (enthusing agents) which depress one part of the NS while enthusing another. The enthusiasm however is very narrowly focused, cutting down on variety rather than opening it up. For optimal viability, any new concept must arouse maximum enthusiasm for both sides of the resultant energy polarization. Ordinary intelligence can only be enthused by polarized energy.Real Revolutionist intellect is enthused at a new level, beyond polarization, i.e., at both poles of information.

Beyond fashion/variety of the Secondary Level World, consider the continued fascination with “Dirty Harry”-type heroes: laconic, dispassionate attitude amidst surrounding uncontrolled enthusiasm. This is an attraction to and hunger for an unreachable past, a “noble savage” that never was, combined with an inchoate future, which cannot be realized (inside one lifetime).

When men rebel what do they do?…Withhold enthusiasm.
