Kyroot to :04.
In thought and speech there is the conditioned and the unadorned. After the first word anywhere, all else is adorned. Religion, science etc., all seek/concern themselves with the supremacy of the “first word”, first second (“big bang”) of the universe, since all else following is mere adornment. It is all increased complexity…but also limitation, a narrowing.

The first step from the unconditioned/unadorned to the conditioned is even more radical, drastic than the step from the WB/wet brain to the DB/dry brain evolution, i.e., from the nameless to the unconditioned. The move from the first unconditioned word to all succeeding conditioned ones happens in several ways: turning the universal into the local; the PL/primary level into the SL/secondary level; uncertain pluralities into narrowed certainties: intellectual order derived from non-verbal chaos.

The WB can be coerced into being a non-verbal witness, a non-recording, non-commenting reporter, a non-critical observer of what is occurring. Connection to Neuralization, forcing WB into unnatural activity. A Revolutionary method: “I have no comment at this time”. Note that this is used ordinarily by Life in 3-d life all the time; ordinary activities always hide a further reality.

The Real Explorer can use this internally on himself…”I’m thinking, I’m thinking” (ala Jack Benny’s response to the mugger’s “Your money or-your life!”) without putting a punchline / conclusion. A kind of twist on the Paul Masson line, i.e., “I will say no word before its time”. Man’s TOA/thinking of action will always exceed his action, if not, no technological progress is possible; it is a requirement of modern civilization.

But why does TOA so overbalance action? Note the lag between TOA and action (a new technology vs. its realization into production; a religious “golden rule” vs. its behavioral implementation.) TOA produces more TOA. To stop natural comment is to become a true artist. True art is to think anew, beyond the adorned. All words beyond the first are adjectives, adornment. Note the virtual impossibility to merely state yes or no without qualification. It is uncivilized not to condition and qualify your utterances.

Another way to see WB/DB dynamic in This Thing is to pare down the DB, relieve its excess fat of adorning activities vs. forcing the WB into the DB kind of activities sans speech. The Real Explorer does not “babble” about PL affairs; only SL affairs deserve babbling, if and when necessary. This can even produce a kind of relief, a satisfaction where nothing else will suffice.

And Kyroot Said…

If you really want to “get somewhere,” space travel is not
only possible, it’s mandatory.

***

On this one planet, the older and more complex a system
becomes, the more likely are the inhabitants to direct their
energies to the system rather than its original purpose.

***

One guy used to like to mutter, “At least keep your dialogue
from becoming a monologue.”

***

Over in this other world, no matter how the matches are listed
almost everyone ends up wrestling an unscheduled opponent.

***

In most parts of this system, creatures need some kind of
special insulation from their environment. And on Earth, they
certainly have it.

***

In certain quarters it is more honorable and demanding to keep
silent about one’s ideas than it is to die for them.

***

Just as a few have suspected, in one oblique galaxy excuses do
successfully pass for reasons.

***

The only foe worthy of hate is a weak one.

***

The location of several special schools is in the space
between the planets themselves.

***

Carrying “facts” from one planet to another may prove to be a
mite less than overwhelming.

***

At the center of the universe is a secret.
***

At the center of A universe is a secret.

***

At the center of your universe is a la-de-da-de-da…you
know.

***

As thinking-of-action replaces action, all things become
possible.

***

Over in this corner galaxy, some of the locals used to like to
say that all sentences have a beginning and an end, and, would that
all thoughts were equally so endowed.

***

If you can “count the ways,” rest assured you’re in a place
with a paucity of ways.

*

In this one world, everything cheap is a bargain…and
everyone there is up-to-here in bargains.

***

Some guys in the east quarter of that star over there have as
their motto, “If it ain’t abused, it’s under-used.”

***

This one kid asked, “For the summer, can I go where everything
runs together?”

***

Over in this one peculiar place I passed, all of their
treatments are worse than all of their ills.

***

To be as molecularly jammed up as we are, we’re still pretty
far apart.

***

If you speak first you can leave early.
