The DB/dry brain serves the purpose of protecting itself via institutionalization of life. DB talk itself is a form of shelter. It is a kind of admission of weakness for the purpose of self protection: an ultimate “whistling in the dark”; an unexpected false bravado of simply talking. As long as you’re talking, you’re one step closer to civility, the creation of safe harbor in the WB/wet brain ocean. A single man does not civilize himself thru talk, a collection is required to effect the necessary complexity. DB activities prolong life, promote health.
Everybody’s local intellect is a narrowing of view, expectations and responsibilities (exactly the reverse of the City view) that the WB would have had in its own rightful (though impossible) development. This narrowing focuses the intellect energy on thought processes: thinking of things and planning. The Real Explorer must “brain embrace” the universal. A Real Explorer couldn’t write “fiction” if he wanted to.
Fiction is a fragment of a non-fictional world; fiction has “happened” or it could not be written, although it has not happened in the 3-d experiential world. Why is fiction so prevalent, so ever-popular? It is the intellect’s attempted grasping of a greater piece of non-fictional reality. It is a law that “big moves cover little moves”. 3-d fiction is hidden by 5-d non-fiction; truth is hidden by ignorance; talk hides small moves.
