One Trick Known To All

And now from our Science Desk:
Recent statistics show that most men’s stomachs can take a joke about themselves better than can men’s minds.

One Trick Known to All:
If you let your mind just ramble normally on, you will never notice how not in control you are.

Question:
What creatures but men in good suits with good taste can enjoy certain personal benefits by certain personal ignorance?

Standing atop a hill just outside The City, a man looked down on the many human activities percolating therein: the arts, the sciences, the politics, the commerce, the religions, and pondered: “What would happen down there if everyone was suddenly made aware of The Secret?”  (And the answer instantly hit him: “There would no longer be a, down-there.”) Contrary to the few, with ordinary minds there are many things that are, best-left-alone.

“Pa, is there anything off limits in our family tradition?”
                            “Hush, you silly lad.”

One man found a cave just outside The City, in which he would go and sit alone.  When sitting there, he would feel more clearheaded than was his norm, but when he would leave and rejoin the others…well, you fill in the rest. ….and a late breaking email rushes in:
“In reading your daily words I often do not know whether I should feel encouraged, or discouraged, but it is probably a waste of my time to ask you about this as I bet that you would say I should feel neither way.  So, either thanks for nuthin’ or thanks for everything. Yours, (and maybe someday Mine).”
