The Word

The mind men are born with apparently has nothing to think about other than the words of other men. Thus all of the world’s creation myths unwittingly say that man only came into his full manhood, (became conscious), after the creator became The Word; the first word in existence getting the ball rolling by finally giving men’s minds something to think about. If for no other reason than this, man would have been forced by the demands of the law of cause and effect his mind subsequently created, or to come up with stories of an anthropomorphic creator, as a way for his mind to tolerably explain itself to itself. Indeed, whether you have come to recognize this most useful bit of information or not, every time any man says the word, “God,” he is unknowingly saying, “Mind.” It is man’s mind speaking of itself in a theoretical future tense.

The continuity of all creatures’ physical existence lies in genes. The continuity of man’s civilized existence rests on words. Verbal cannibalism is the keystone to collective stability, and to individual men’s sanity. Widespread disruption in an area’s verbal continuity and cannibalism results in chaos, collapse and regression. The progress visible to man depends on periodic, but limited, appearance of new thought, diverging somewhat from the presently accepted truth, and turning man’s attention in a fresh direction. But like a bridge to a place new, with one end still rooted in the place old.

This is what is seen to be progress; the gradual evolving of things old into improved new versions. Thus is a sense of continuity maintained, for even when an individual man now and then has a new, unfamiliar thought, (which promises benefit), it can always be seen as but the inevitable next step from some older well known one. But all of this pertains exclusively to the physical world, for it is only there that progress exists. Men take no specific note of this, and contraire – in-specifically deny it constantly by their verbal assertions of cultural progress.

Man’s physical health improved when he went from bloodletting to antibiotics; from x-rays to MRI’s. Similarly does his mind say that the inner invisible man, (the mind), has improved as he has gone from paganism to religion; from morality plays to realistic dramas; from representative painting to abstract, (later from abstract back to representative); from disco to punk; corsets to bikinis. A list without end and inescapably are all such mentally existing, secondary features of man’s life an integral part of his overall physical existence. Failure to recognize their relative position is what is herein being highlighted and is of significance to those desirous of a non-confined view of what is going on.
