The Difference Between All Things

A son asked a father:
“What is the funniest thing you have ever heard a human say?”
“I heard a man refer to, HIS mind.”
“But you’ve said that.”
“Yeah, I know – I’m an idiot.”

Seeing a book at his friend’s house entitled, “The Complete Idiot’s Guide To The Mind,” a visitor pointed to it and said:  “I’ll bet it has helped you better understand yourself,” and looking at the speaker in disbelief the man replied:  “No, it is just about other people’s minds.”

The difference between all things can be measured in words.
In fact that is the only way it can be done.

“Since everyone is confused and mistaken, no one is able to realize that they are,” said the father to the son.  “But would not that also mean that no one IS confused and mistaken?”  “Yes, that too.”

Even an awake man doesn’t know anything about awakening until he is asked; then if he takes a nap, he can say something about it.
