Man’s combining of things, both physical and non-physical, benefits the herd. For the solitary figure, longing to break free of the sluggish mob mentation, not recognizing the chemistry involved in all ideas which do not have a material counterpart is anything but beneficial.
Plastic, upon which much of comfortable, contemporary life depends, is an artificial material concocted by man through the combining of materials naturally found. So far, so good, even for the would-be escapee, but once men have overcome the need to constantly see to mere survival, their thoughts take up the concocting of things artificial that are not material in nature, and which themselves are produced by the combining of substances – non-substantial.
It makes no real difference to anyone if someone denounces plastics as being, “un-natural, artificial, even Plastic!” People continue to use them, (even those who denounce them), but people do pretend to really care if someone denounces the idea of God, Harvard, or Jewishness in a similar fashion.
No one is upset if accused of being partially composed of iron, but will express outrage if imputed to be harboring unpopular opinions. It matters to no one how other humans may be combining the physical elements of this planet, (unless of course the guy on the floor below is mixing up homemade bombs), for generally, all profit from such, but when men begin to stir up and combine the mental elements, (words), of their mind – there is hell to pay.
Men fear ghosts more than the sword.
