The Real Deal

“Off-shore” deals are the best ‘cause there’s always the chance you may drown. The deal is dreamed-of by the living but realized by the recently-departed.  (If you’re still in town; the deal won’t go down.)

Everybody’s uncle knows this “real great deal”; everyone has a Buddha for an uncle. To profit from the deal you have to make your own deal. The history of deal-making is difficult to interpret.  Profit is such a personal matter.

Hunger’s the ship,
eating’s the keel,
nothing’s as filling
as doing-the-deal.

The deal you know about is not THE deal.  The real deal is strictly “hush-hush.”
(No one ever has to be cautioned to, “Keep it to yourself.”)

The deal is the only known transaction involving fewer than two parties.
