This Changes Everything–Men Don’t Learn Learning–They Invent It

The following recordings are from Jan’s final years, when his voice was diminished and he spoke in a low whisper. Some listeners may find these tapes hard to listen to, or difficult to understand. Thus, as another option, transcripts are being made and will be posted.

Otherwise, turn up the volume and enjoy! Those who carefully listened to Jan during this period consider that he spoke plainly and directly to the matter at hand, “pulling out all the stops,” as he understood that these were to be his last messages to his groups, and to posterity.

Notes by TK

Nothing is more astounding about man’s life than that he needs cultural rules, prescriptions and philosophies to live by. He naturally seeks guidance from others re: the physical world—that is the most efficient way—but that the mind is prone to accepting external guidance for its internal world, is amazing.

Man is wired up to believe there is outside knowledge available and necessary to live properly. It’s like the mind is blind within its secondary world while yet sighted in its primary, physical one. (40:15) #3255

THE CASE SEEMS TRICKY —
BUT THE CLUES ARE ALL THERE

The Special Investigator’s Coded Manual
JANUARY 26, 2005 © 2005: JAN COX

The widely accepted idea that man has a motivating non-conscious mind behind his conscious one is an unacknowledged admission that he does not know why he acts like he acts (although everyone knows full well, though only a few can admit it……… ……which they never do…..not in front of children and the feeble-minded).

And Now Today’s Obvious News.
All areas below man’s level of consciousness should be operating as normally as possible in a person for consciousness to expand into higher areas.
Aka: The lateral must be working for the vertical to do so. (No surprise here.)
“What would be surprising would be to learn that the wolf must be healthy
and attentive for the dog to ever be trained.

The only way ordinary men see to get humanity to act correctly is by declaring that some outside, often supernatural source dictates that they should
(i.e. some extrinsically expressed religious, political or social model);
only the extraordinary few do not need this.
(Aka: The certain-man doesn’t have to be told what is best to do.)

One man has a hundred & eighteen self-developed rules by which he conducts his life. (He says he initially had just one – “but that sounded so tacky!”)

The Special Dick’s Tip.
To ever crack-the-case you must learn how to privately force into existence
your own finalities…..which are actually always conditional…..but compared to
what goes on in ordinary thought, belie such a description.
In the land of slugs even three-legged hyenas appear to run gracefully.
(“Thank god for the availability of comparisons!” sighed the species Homo sapiens.)

If (as humanity is wont to profess): love-is-a-hurting-thing,
then all of ordinary men’s mental lives should be cause for continuing celebration.

He attempting to crack-the-case must first recognize & acknowledge what,
at man’s customary level, is necessary – then forget about it.

Inside his own nervous-system the special investigator must work to extend his consciousness in a subatomic, quantum fashion:
in no specific place – with no particular movement.
The reason the awakened man cannot be seen is that he is everywhere at once.

Men say there is nothing equal in importance to learning — (a note):
men do not learn learning – they invent it.
Understanding this changes everything: e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.

To achieve the ultimate discovery you not only can have nothing-to-hide –
you cannot even labor under the delusion that there is or should be anything TO hide.
Once the inner rebel gets out-in-the-open – everything does.

There comes an enigmatic elucidation from pursuing an never ending revolution.

The science-of-solving-the-mystery studies man not as mass, but energy.
It is nouns that sleep in uncertain and twisted positions.
(“You just made me realize: Verbs never rest! –
and somehow I feel sure this can be useful in my efforts to recreate my own inner head-life.”
[“Pa pa: did he say: head lice?”
“If you’re attempting to be humorous: very good – if not: be quiet.”])

Feel and embrace that which is necessary for your personally acceptable existence, but ignore that which is only mechanically required for your physical presence.

In a perceived three dimensional reality
a sequential line of cause-&-effect is an illusion.

A visitor to this planet mused as he packed his bags to leave:
“I kept hearing the local creatures proclaim it their duty to ‘Be themselves’
and my question is: What do they believe is stopping them? – or better still:
How can they believe that they’re not?”
(Query for you: Is he overlooking something obvious? – not saying that he is – just asking.)

That which now may sound strange & faraway will one day be your own
everyday, up-close, inner condition.

You can learn to willfully center your consciousness so that you feel yourself –
not your nervous-system’s ephemeral moods.

Once you realize that “I” (you) are not the enemy,
your excuse supply is instantly depleted;
you then become unnaturally and improbably responsible for controlling
the inner process that results in the routine feeling of “I”.

Just as men have a level of consciousness, so too does Life – and man is it.

Rhyme From Another Time (Or Perhaps, Place).
“What can you say to a blind man,
what can you show the deaf;
Life only personally leans on,
those who lean on themselves.”

From the certain-man’s unique perspective (which by no measure is applicable to ordinary humanity): trouble never gets started in his own inner world unless
he throws the first punch – utters the initial insult.
While it always seems non-sensible to speak of a person intentionally harming their self (even intangibly) men do so seriously, but consider:
how would such even be possible; can a mirror break itself?!
(P.S. For the unconventional private eye/I, those last four words could be an
expedient description of the dynamics involved in waking-up.)

There are areas in man’s lower, non-conscious circuitry that are, comparably speaking, negative reflections of higher, more potentially conscious ones.

The expansion of consciousness possible for a few is completely inconceivable by man’s common state of consciousness.
(Almost like upward fire escapes hidden unknown to their buildings.)

And to leave ordinary humans on their highest possible note, let them all stand,
place one hand over their heart, the other over their mouth and in unison shout out
the pledge: “It’s not my fault!” (Even though they don’t believe it.)

J

“Pa pa: is the secret of the certain-man the fact that he doesn’t believe anything?”
“That and that he believes in everything that everyone else does.”
“I guess I’m still too young & inexperienced to get it?!”
“I guess so.”
