Begin: As much as I pick on the mind and claim that, that all being awake is, is the mind trying to understand itself. I still find this useful. Consider other ways to look at what you already know to be a fact. For instance, I sometime have a flash of thinking, that if I was starting all over, If I could start over and knew what I know now what would be another way to go at this. Since I abandoned everyone else’s method I read about, How else could I have gone about this and come to the operational sane realization. The obvious one may be to study the body rather than turn your attention on the mind.

01:00 Then consider all the ways the mind does not have the ability, oft times, to see the body correctly. (anorexia, etc…)

02:47 The next one is How do people feel. Could anybody turn the same attention (thought on thought) with the same enthusiasm? Could you turn thought on the way you feel and come to the same kind of discoveries? To me it gets even stranger…trickier.. than thought looking at a man’s body.

03:35 If we had all been encouraged, study the way you feel, that is the way to awaken. Forget about anything else. Turn your attention on the way you feel, relentlessly, impartially, and just take up a life long study until further notice. What would have happened? Could you have come to the same kinds of realizations? It is even trickier than turning thoughts on themselves. A near impossibility…There is one particular thing about the way people feel. (The way we feel) I am going to try to come up with a whole new description. One is when people talk about the way they feel it is always episodic and it is never a lifelong view…some momentary thing…a day…a week…They attribute it either to somewhere specific in time or some specific event. (I feel bad because my uncle died…got the flu…wrecked my car…)I am not talking about physical feelings but how they feel emotionally. People investigate and describe how they feel on the basis of episodes.

06:03 Someone says “I feel depressed” and someone asks why and someone will give you a reason. A reason that exists in time. You are the easiest but you have to look around at family and friends. The way you feel is a lifelong scene. No one ever seems to notice this. There has got to be a one or two word description that all of you could (use to) describe (yourselves)… A thumbnail sketch… We are leaving out the conscious part of the brain…Thinking…the mind… Consider the way that you feel. There is some way that you feel that you have felt all your life.

08:53 For instance, If you thought back…can think back to times you were actually feeling (Birthday gone bad, etc..)you would realize you have consistently felt that way…Which is a large part of what I mean when I talk about people’s temperament. People refuse to see it. I understand it is the mind…, thought…It is not constructed to see things as they are, especially for someone to see close to what they are temperamentally.

09:40 Another description..another way of looking… Ordinary people attribute to the way they feel or say the way they feel can be attributed to “events.” That consciously an event can cause something. Such as seeking happiness. (new car, winning money..) I say that is not true. How we feel is based on temperament. It does not matter what happens in life.

12:16 Rothschilds, Rockefellers, extremely rich families…4 or 5 siblings… There will be several that will never be happy. People will say “how can you go around acting as sad as you do when your family is rich? Outsiders are amazed…The person has no explanation and if pushed..(I never had the right relationship…etc..) They will come up with some attempted episodic explanation… The point is, How a person feels is not affected by circumstances… Except episodically…That is what the mind latches on to. If someone walked through the door and gave you a million dollars, the word happy would have to apply to you. It might last a day…two days…your attitude, all it takes is a quick turnaround and look at it. The way you feel has not changed.

15:16 No matter what the circumstances have been, rather a funeral, some award, a good job,, “I say” all of that not withstanding. There is like a flat line, there is one way you feel, no matter what the circumstances, not withstanding a few hours above or below that line.

17:11 No one realizes it. There is no happiness other than temperamentally. There is no sadness outside the temperament. The mind says look outside and it is looking for something that does not exist. The reality is that (sadness, happiness) exist only in our temperament. And no one ever looks at it. There is nothing in the mind, naturally, that I can see that is constructed to realize that. In the same way there is nothing about the mind constructed naturally, for it to look at itself and to want to look at itself. So you are back to the fact that no one generally is interested in this type of activity.

18:50 The mind is not structured, not intended to look at things as they are. Nothing caused it so nothing can be done about it. (temperament) Pharmaceutically they can. How popular would that be? Who wants to hear that? Just check you own mind, your own thoughts.

20:00 The mind believes you can feel other than you feel and the mind believes that the way you feel ranges from being caused by circumstances, to one extreme, and to the lesser extreme that the mind believes it can be affected by circumstances. That which is local and episodic, the mind can take as being universal and so they affect that you can be extremely happy or happier than you would normally be.

21:43 It is true that something can make you feel different for a few minutes or as long as you could stay awake. (ex. check for a million bucks) You might feel different than you normally do. But after a good nights sleep you would feel the same. You might go out and spend it (million bucks) trying to revive that happiness…new corvette…etc…But after a while happiness would wear down.

23:15 The way you feel you always feel. The way you feel is the way you feel.

25:28 I found this to be of practical use to me. (Thought on feeling instead of Thought on Thought) What would it take to get past the point of realizing the way you feel…When people reflect on it (feeling) it is always on the basis of something, of some event, outside their temperament.

27:38 My view of it is the same as it is when I was talking about thought. The purpose of thought is to see the physical world not as it is but how it could be. How it could be changed, altered, pliant, and conducive to our survival. In line with the mind of man cannot believe, ordinarily, the possibility that man cannot change what he is.

29:15 A man will change his behavior. A man , at least episodically, will change his mind… His views…You can change your behavior but you cannot change the way you feel. No one will look at it. The mind is not arranged to look at it that way. The ordinary mind takes the “change of behavior” and lets it go at that. They take it as proof we can change.

30:24 Other than episodically the circumstances does not change the way we feel. It is obvious once you see it. People seriously ill and who are generally cheerful, it is very likely they will still be cheerful. Anything of a serious nature and you get past the episode.

35:00 There is one way that strikes me…If you can hear…That the mind of everyone, your mind looks externally for that which is part of your temperament. It looks outside for happiness or sadness when it is notable. The conscious part of the brain will not look at the rest of the body…The rest of the brain’s temperament when it comes to feeling. (Still discounting specific physical ailments like a bloody nose, broken bones. The conscious part of the brain never looks down at the rest of the person..at the instinct of that human which is temperament.

37:17 How often do you hear happiness without the word find? The statement “I do not have a happy feeling.” There is the conscious mind saying I will look for it. The cellular activity in the frontal lobes is lying. The real instinctive support of that cellular activity…It knows that the rest of the creature down below…That nervous system…is depressed…pissed…not happy. For them to say we will look for a way to feel, that cellular activity knows that this is a farce.

39:00 It knows you can not find temperament…change temperament…other than episodically. (maybe that is it’s excuse.)I am saying that cellular activity has got to know better. (If it lets me say it has got to know better then maybe it doesn’t. If you can follow that if it doesn’t know better, what does?) I know Steve Miller would like me to bring it down to the atomic level…I keep reading…referring to some neurologist from Oxford. His theory is that consciousness could only be understood at the quantum level…That eventually neurologists and everyone else were going to have to come into physics. They were staying to superficial. The only way conscious thought could ever be understood was through Quantum Physics.

41:32 He has already been dismissed…That should always get your attention.

42:05 The very activity in our brains drive you to believe this and that. The cellular activity of 6 billion people will stiffen and refuse to look at it. The practical aspect is that “you” refuse to admit it and to investigate it.
We are down to the point this stuff is to blunt or strong…

No one should be taking what I say as being gospel of any sort…cause this kind of thing, even if you adopt it or say you believe it…You will be doing yourself worse harm…harm not good…I cannot say you can not change. I am going to say you ought to look at it.

I could talk until the day I die bringing up examples of what I just said is not true? Couldn’t you? Sure you could. It is episodic… Just turn real quick and look.

Jan’s Posted Daily Fresh Real News

December 25, 2000.

Here we are — another day,
another conveyance in yet another cellular,
and neural configuration —
and yet,
somehow,
some things remain remarkably similar
for those with that certain interest.
No matter when — no matter where,
the person attempting to get-to-the-bottom-of-things
is always still here, at this time.

`Tis good, (is it not), to be right here — right now?!
For it is only right here, right now that you can ever have any effect on your state of neural awareness..
So — assume a receptive mental position,
and let’s give your potential for awareness
something worthy of its capability:
contemporaneous hints, kicks & info
from living locales.

………………………………………………………………

A man with important metaphysical ideas
can stop a bullet with his mind —
…….if he’s lucky……
……and his mind’s not.
There are always two edges to every story:

The false one, and the physical one,
and whereas ordinary men, from either,
derive both pain and pleasure,
an awakened man experiences simply
the passing of a breeze.
…………………………………………………………………

No matter how large a photograph may be blown up,
it will never fully portray the scene it represents;
same be so with thought and its perceptions of life.

………………………………………………………………

When your existence in the mental, second reality
is not recognized for what it is,
what “more or less works” therein — works,
(sad to say for some.)

…………………………………………………………………

Those with nothing worthwhile to talk about,
talk about themselves.
Stepson Of The Above: A man full of quotes is
full of shit, (or, emptiness — your choice.)

…………………………………………………………………

A major distraction in the mind is that
“present appearances” therein
have the propensity to seem – contemporaneous –
where as such is not necessarily the case.
Thus, can a man’s thoughts live a life of
total anachronism –
eternally out of synch with physical reality.
…(In certain parts of Sighberia this is known as, “Snoozing as you sled.”)

………………………………………………………………..

One man’s motto is:
“It’s all according to how you look at things.”
He admits that it has never helped him at all,
but says that
it is still his motto
just the same.

………………………………………………………………..

Everything in the second reality
exists in two different environments:
the one perceived of by the collective,
and the one it is known to be by the few.
…(The way this materially plays its tune out is that
those who recognize human events
in their true context,
are not heard by the herd to comment thereon.)
A Reliable Tip:
If it`s something you don’t hear about,
it’s safe to believe.

………………………………………………………………..

The creatures of one reality truly loved to
hear their god talk to them,
and afterwards would always ask him for
additional clarification of his remarks,
’til one day he stopped everything, and said:
“Wait — let me get this straight:
not only do you want to hear what I have to say,
but on top of that you also immediately want me to
explain what I just said?!?!”
…and only a few of them –
got the message within the message.

People who believe in a god that directly affects their lives are smarter than they realize.
……(although they’re using the wrong word.)

……………………………………………………………….

Medical Update: According to recent findings
the blood needed by the rectum
is not the same type as required by the brain.
…(These findings however, are preliminary.)

………………………………………………………………..

If news from the ordinary world was not so
inherently silly
it wouldn’t have to be treated so seriously.

………………………………………………………………..

“Okay, contestants, the answer is:
‘The facts don’t fit the acts.’ —
now what is the question?

….that’s right:
‘Describe man’s mental world’.”

Half Brother Of The Above:
The flimsier the product –
the pushier the promotion.

………………………………………………………………..

It is impossible to see yourself as you are
looking through the eyes life provides.

You can: act without thinking — and
think without acting — but,
only a man with three eyes
can do both — simultaneously.
There are no finite realities,
only finite mental perceptions thereof.
Thus is all ordinary thought relative and restless
making all it perceives appear likewise.
Sleep = Relativity;
boulders more closely equate with
being awake.

Then there is this thing that is a deity to
another group of creatures, who,
whenever they say anything to him,
always lazily replies:
“Yeahhh……I know what you mean,”
when in fact he damn well doesn’t.

…(I remind you: believers in,
a spirit-of-the-supernatural-within-man
know more than they realize they know —
….but they’re got the wrong word.)
Hey, if you wanna,
we can meet back here tomorrow.
You can find your way back here, right?!
…through the tangle of neural vines and all, huh?!
All you gotta do is follow the cake crumbs I
dropped along the way today.

….WHAT?! — you ate them while I was talking?!….
Hey — my kinda, save-nothing-for-later guy.
