Kyroot to :06. Primary Level emotions are recurring, unending experience. Secondary Level emotions are episodic, they have a beginning and an end; they form a complete experience available then for retelling. Secondary Level emotions are always faddish, ephemeral, since they have their own lifespan, their own agenda independent of men. Secondary Level emotions “breathe” by telling about themselves, or being talked about by others. When any talk is involved in Primary Level acts, they are really Secondary Level acts. Things episodic must be described.

Explanations detail and describe everything but settle nothing. Secondary Level emotions drive all Secondary Level activities. No uniquely human activity can survive if it is no longer talked about (and what disappears is no longer talked about). All telling “what kind of a guy I am” is the attempt to explain/detail life, and everybody has an on-going need to so explain/detail. Such talk is always treatment, but never cure for City conditions, since City Secondary Level affairs/conditions have no real beginning to which an end can then be found.

One of the joys of local history is the emergence of revealing patterns in light of hindsight.

“Hey – every thing looks better from back
here.”)

Over on the Fern Planet, in a local pub, I heard this one fellow ask his embibbling mate,
“If there does turn out to be a ‘Judgment ^ay’ do you think god will actually look back over your entire life, or just review the
highlights?”

From the midst-of-it-all, (and you damn well know which midst

looking out after themselves.”, and a second tongue replied, “Well hell, why do you• think they’re gods in the first place.”

This one bony chap would quite often conclude a statement by adding,
“Of course that’s just one chap’s opinion.”, until one semi-fine

quite enough of an opinion – I’m just
one man.”

In the dirt, at one possibly abandoned Revolutionist camp, was scratched
the following,
