Kyroot to :05.
The trickiness of This Thing is not based on its positioning in space, it is based on its positioning in time. This Thing can never happen in the present, in any present. All terms such as Real Revolutionist, Real Explorer etc. are spatial concepts while This Thing is not done spatially; all description is spatial. A better term for This Thing: “in the future”, a temporal location; a plug-in spot for intelligence.
Consider: everything being written, thought, said is in the past. Not living in the future makes you dense, slow. All institutions are in the past. The beautiful arrangement: man thinks about the future (which makes him uniquely man) and thereby assumes he interacts with it via his planning, his TOA/thinking of action.
Predictions have no connection whatever with the future. New Information such as those transmissions by a Jesus, Moses etc., can cause the listener to actually move into the future; the words themselves are unimportant. Spatial progress will never substitute for or replace temporal progress. Look around at Life, you can become aware of just how heavy and dead everything is in life, compared with This Thing.
And Kyroot Said…
If the motto of your planet is, “Act first, ask questions
later,” on odd numbered days you should swap places with that guy
over there.
***
In this one spot, shortcomings are no big deal.
***
Interplanetary Math Lesson One-O-Seven: A band of
cannibalistic pigmies run into a herd of platform shoe salesmen
— neither group was ever seen again.
***
There’s this one place that requires that all criticism go
unsigned.
***
In a more complex world there’s none of that cheap, petty
crap you see around here… (and even if there is, it’s in a
condensed version).
***
The governmental structure on this one star is such that if
you vote for a man it is your right to later assassinate him…
(there is some talk of trying to export this notion).
***
If you think you really heard them say you could “pay later”
your ears are severely land locked.
***
Three-D-intelligence has as its backdrop, part of itself,
and hence is partially blind.
***
A guidance system with no tolerance won’t take you anywhere
you shouldù wanna go.
***
Over on this other world I saw, a static condition is not
taken to be a solution to a problem.
***
If you see the correctness of something, but it still
doesn’t help, you of course didn’t actually see it, or you’re
fourteen miles beyond help.
***
Knowing a difference in descriptions is nothing, but knowing
a difference in usage is everything.
***
The slogan on one growing planet was: “Don’t reinvent the
problem.”
***
Most of what we see is invisible.
***
In regards difficult to portray, Life is almost as helpless
as you.
***
There’s one voice that periodically reverberates about the
universe which says, “Yeah — but Life speaks so well of you.”
***
All human activity is biotic — and that, that’s not, is
microbiotic.
***
Other than a problem with the goods, this one system only
had two problems — service and service.
***
If you’re reallyù going away, you don’t have to go where you
say you are.
***
After apparently having a certain request granted, a guy
looks out and sez to the universe, “I guess nowù I owe you.” And
the voice replied, “You alwaysù owe me.”
